This summer Falsterbo Museum pays tribute to Falsterbo's rich architectural history with the exhibition "Byggnadskonst på Falsterbonäset 1900-2010". Architect Peter Krabbe and artist Krister Andersson follow the region's architectural history, as well as the development of the region from the beginning of the 20th century until present. Architectural examples on display range from Art Nouveau and Arts & Crafts, to Modernism and contemporary works.

Since the turn of the 20th century, Falsterbo has gained a reputation as one of southern Sweden's most popular seaside resorts. Boasting one of the best golf courses in Europe and the annual Falsterbo Horse Show, it comes as no surprise that this affluent area also boasts some real architectural gems, such as Josef Frank's Villa Claeson, Villa Tångvallen by Alfred Grenander and Villa Edstrand by Sigurd Lewerentz - just some of the highlights of the exhibition. Also on display is Jonas Lindvall's Villa J2, completed in 2013. What began as the renovation of a 1940s summerhouse, serendipitously evolved into an object lesson in Modernism -  a family villa that combines functionality with the sculptural beauty of the architecture.
