Gastrologik, 2011
The restaurant's façade is unmarked, with sheer curtains obscuring the view of the interior from the outside. This was inspired by the unassuming exterior of the traditional Italian trattoria. However, inside, the decor is inviting. The interior is dominated by copper, chosen for its opulent quality and connection to the history of cooking. The bathrooms are copper clad, and toward the back of the restaurant, an intermediary copper and glass work area between the kitchen and dining room offers a stage for the chefs. Leather banquettes and, again, copper lamps, combined with indirect lighting, create a warm ambience within the minimal white decor of the dining room. All the furniture and fixtures were designed by Lindvall A & D.
