Exhibition scenography, Dunkers Kulturhus, Helsingborg, Sweden - 2011
Following the acclaimed scenography for Dekadens last year, Dunkers Kulturhus called upon the architect once again to create a fitting environment for Passion, an exhibition of works from 14 artists, including Carl Fredrik Hill, Claes Eklundh and Anne-Marie Nordin.
A deep crimson backdrop sets the mood of the exhibition. Walls are created from a polyurethene fabric, skillfully stretched across concealed frames, which protrude out of the walls. This creates the illusion that the works of art literally jump out at the viewer. The deep rich tone also absorts the light, directing the focus of the viewer directly to each tableau.
