Private house 2002 – Unbuilt
Project for a single-family house by lake Mälaren, outside Stockholm. The proposed 400 square meter house was to be positioned on an extremely sloping site facing the lake. The idea behind the proposal was the clients’ wish to have a house for both business and private family life, independent of each other. Consequently, the exterior of the house appears as separate volumes; however the main body of the house is connected horizontally through a corridor system below ground. This corridor also leads to the main building where collective areas such as the kitchen, living room, library and office can be found.
